2018 Fresno CDS/SHS Schooling Show

Fresno CDS held its second 2018 show at Sequoia Hills Stables in Woodlake, California on Saturday, April 28. Thirty-two riders completed fifty-four tests, competing in dressage classes from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm. Traditional dressage classes ranged from introductory level to FEI Prix St. George level. A strong contingent of western dressage riders also competed in the CAWD recognized show. Two very enthusiastic future riders competed in the leadline class.

Deborah Hurons judged juniors, adult amateurs, and professional riders on a variety of horses that ranged from ponies to Fresians. Craig Stanley served as show manager and put together an incredibly organized, smooth running show.

A special demonstration by the Showtime Vaulters took place during the lunch break. This well-known team is coached by Ingrid and Leslie Hamar. Vaulters demonstrated their skills on two vaulting horses. A large contingent of fans and spectators attended the show just to enjoy the vaulting presentation.

High Percentage Awards were presented in three divisions. Aniah Sweeny earned the highest score in the open division riding Quartermaster C to a 73.537%. Leeanne Lloyd Mattos earned the second highest score in the open division riding Ingrato Jle  to a 73.400%.

The adult amateur high score award was presented to Arlene Kelemen riding Son Of A Smooth to a 77.037%. Bob Wiens received the second highest score in the amateur division riding Myte Please to a 76.852%.

The high scoring Junior rider was Megan Farrenkopf  riding Kenzington to 70.652%. Emily Girard rode Donabella  to a 69.130% to earn the second highest score in the junior division.

Once again, Sequoia Hills Stables provided a beautiful show venue. Marily Reese and staff members put all the finishing touches on a very professional show environment. Chuck House was responsible for the hundreds of blooming plants.

Volunteers make shows possible. The work of the following people was extremely appreciated.
